I am working on a relatively long written piece for subscribers, but in the meantime, I thought I would upload this brief audio interlude. It is a recording I made back in 2019 of a passage from Kenkō Hōshi’s Essays in Idleness (Tsurezuregusa). The passage in question is number 215 from that text, from the translation by Meredith McKinney.
